April Meeting Recap
We were pleased to have great attendence at the April meeting: a few new faces and several folks that we haven't seen for a while!
Our Marketing/Swap Meet/Banquet SUPER Chair, Rosemarie, had some exciting new things to present.
The Banquet is good to go in conjunction with the Education weekend. This is a daring step - quite different from what we've done in the past. It's the result of input from folks who have to travel long distances to attend chapter events and from other chapters who have done the same with great success.
Marketing is crazy up and running and I can hardly wait to post all the exciting files to the committee site once we've got nice, slick copies of all the exciting files. In short, we're going to go on the offensive and celebrate National Locksmith Awareness Month this October (seriously, who knew?) in rare style.
If it's just a handful of shops, it's going to be a great party, we'll have an awesome time, and we'll get the word out.
If we can get several shops across the region it might just become a movement.
And if we could get 50 shops - 50 shops in all of Minnesota, that doesn't sound too hard - why if we could get 50 shops it'd be a tsunami of LOCKSMITH AWARENESS ALL MONTH!
We're going for the 50. Crazy. Up and Running. With COOKIES!
And lastly, most excitingly, most breathtakingly thrillingly - Swap Meet 2009 is set for August first at USA Central Station. 1380 Energy Lane, Suite 200, St. Paul, MN 55108.

The meeting was followed by education from Tom Modec who, as always, did not disappoint.
Tom's review of Arrow SFIC products and his introduction of the latest Medeco Keymark patented keyway was concise, fast moving, and hugely informative. Tom continues to be a great resource for our community and keeps us painlessly informed on all the latest industry developments.
The next meeting is in June - and then we've got a break until September! There won't be any meetings, but there's plenty to do - check out the claendar for the most up-to-date information on Chapter and Distributor Events!
